This children’s book shares the origin story of Huay Ee Khang village through engaging illustrations and accessible storytelling. It was developed through a collaboration among members of the Huay Ee Khang community and faculty and students from Chiang Mai University (Thailand), the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa (USA), Hasanuddin University (Indonesia), and Universiti Malaya (Malaysia). Together, they gathered stories from community members and thoughtfully transformed them into this book, which seeks to support the continued preservation of Karen culture for future generations.
