A crucial part of growing agrarian transitions networks in Southeast Asia is a commitment to educating the next generation of scholars working in Southeast Asia and engaging young scholars and students of our partner institutions in Southeast Asia. In line with that, co-chairs of this subproject organized a series of professional development workshops in Southeast Asia, coordinated and mentored by senior UHM/EWC LuceSEA Transitions team members. The projects focused on cross-sharing of knowledge, in order to support early career researchers of and from Southeast Asia, develop professional skills. These workshops extend networking that results from research collaborations in other subprojects, and also includes other SEA-based early-career researchers.
